Welcome
3-10-08
Wow, it is really happening. Create Change Studios. Chef and Father.
The Grilled Cheese Album. It was just a few month’s ago that Adam,
Nels and I sat down at my dining room table, had some lunch, and
formed our company. No contracts, no suits and ties, no conference
rooms, just 3 guys who trust each other and a vision to do what we
can to help other people. And by other people, we mean the world. We
all agreed on one thing; start with the kids.
We had the perfect team. I had the core idea, the
scripts, the recipes, the camera, and the editing equipment. Adam
had the guitar, the voice, the talent, the drive and the hat.
Nels had the web skills, the second camera, the lights, and has the
resident geek skills. It is funny how 3 guys with different
ages, background and careers can come together with such perfect
synergy…oh wait…we also made out a list of words we could not use.
Corporate words like synergy, protocol, mission-critical, and
leverage. Instead of calling to schedule a meeting we will just talk
right now.
There will be no paradigm shifts (whatever that is) and
our thinking will be where ever we want it to be….in the box, around
the box, out of the box, actually, we will recycle the box then just
think normally. There will be no expensive “team building” weekends
in Hawaii and under no circumstances will a memo be sent for any
reason.
This is just natural to us but it was still fun to write it
all down and thus Create Change Studios was formed.
The basic idea was this; an instructional DVD to
teach parents how to make their own baby and toddler food and a CD
with cool positive music for kids that parents will like as well.
The music would work as the soundtrack to the DVD and the DVD would
get people into the music. Simple. We liked simple. Just do what
feels right and hope to create some change in our own little way.
Take it one step at a time…and yes….we will keep our day jobs….for
now.
My idea was that if I could make it easier
for parents to cook fresh, organic, real food for their kids (and
themselves) then they would spend more time at the table together as
a family, talking, relaxing, and getting to know each other. The
table is the best place for conversations to flow and for ideas to
formulate. To me, the table is everything.
We are enjoying this process and I hope everyone
will enjoy coming along with us as well. More adventures to come as
we get this company off the ground.
Life happens at the table.
