Spring Update - 2011, from Chef Greg Johnson

       Well, yes, it has been a long time since I have sent out any Chef and Father updates and I would love to say it is because I have been on vacation and relaxing but this is not the case. It is quite the opposite in fact. My life as a “real chef” has really taken off and I am cooking 40-50 hours a week and getting to make all kinds of food and secretly working out new recipes and doing research for my real passion which is this. The other reason is that I am doing, what it seems like everyone is doing, which is having fun with updates on Facebook and Twitter. It really is the best way for me to tell the stories of cooking for my family in a quick and fun format. 

       I have also been busy editing videos, writing recipes, etc for my new website which will launch this summer. It will be all about cooking for the family, cooking with kids, and just cooking in general. No more kid food. We just make food and we eat it. That simple. Stay tuned and spread the word because I have a lot of new ideas and feel really inspired to get people back into the kitchen and show how easy and fun it is to cook real food. Back to basics ya know. Easy. If I can find time to cook for my family anyone can.

        In my “free time” I have been taking my girls out to farms and working on a cookbook proposal, which I have no idea how to do so, like everything in my life, I just do it the way that feels right and know it will work out the way it is supposed to.
