Happy Father's Day  ~ Update ~
6-16-10

Father's Day is just another reminder to spend time with the kids and to do something special together or to just remember someone who has inspired you in your life.  I involve my kids in what I love to do everyday whether it be cooking, organic vegetable gardening, music or film-making.

I hope to inspire them to find their own passions and when the time comes and to follow them.

What an amazing year thus far. You can feel people finally getting all this local, organic, sustainable food chatter going around and really doing it.

Here at Chef and Father we had a blast working with The Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Seattle doing free cooking classes for kids and parents at our local Farmers Markets.

To see a kids eyes light up as they create some real food and show their parents what they have done is something I feel grateful to be a part of.

We were busy this year working with
PEPS, Caspar Babypants, Seattle Farmer's Markets, Cascade Harvest Coalition, Dog Mountain Farm, and countless parents who have decided that cooking real food for their kids is a high priority in life.

I feel proud to be a Chef and a Father in this great time for food.

       Life happens at the table.
